“The Fourth Trimester Friend is AMAZING!

I was a first time Mama with no real understanding of what I was getting into. I don’t really know if I can put into words how much Tati helped me, I called her my Guru because she knew all.

Tati helped me understand the importance of a schedule/routine for my little 2-month-old. I was able, in a matter of days mind you, to get my little guy down from 2 feedings overnight to zero with a dream feed. In the parent world, this was HUGE for us. I also learned the importance of trying to facilitate longer naps by connecting my little guy’s sleep cycles.

Tati was there for me when I couldn’t nurse due to latch issues and my little guy having acid reflux. The feelings of inadequacy can be intense but with support I was able to pivot and transitioned to 100% pumping to support my little guy. Tati guided me in choosing the best portable breast pump for me to facilitate mobility and travel and to say it was a Godsend isn’t doing that justice.

When my supply dropped, Tati gave me a recipe for lactation brownies that I could literally eat at any time they were so yummy and helped to lengthen the time I was able to pump. When the time came that my supply was stopping, Tati helped me come to terms with using formulas and helped me to understand what brands might be options based on my values and financial means.

Reflecting on this time I think the thing that I cherished most about Tati was not just the wisdom she was able to give to my husband and I regarding schedules or age-appropriate play, but instead how she listened. She heard what I said and always helped me feel heard and validated in what I was expressing.

There is so much more than just a new person in your life when you have a little one, you are dealing with lack of sleep, fluctuating hormones unlike anything you’ve experienced before, and you don’t feel like yourself (both mom and dad)! Having someone walk alongside me during this time was so important and I will be forever grateful.

The Fourth Trimester Friend is for everyone. If you are a person who needs support, could use a place to bounce ideas off of, even get help with a baby registry or understand better how to build a routine for your little one and eventually lengthen those sleep cycles for your sanity and your little one’s development then these people are for you.”

“Even with the number of resources that are out there it is still overwhelming being a first time mama. Knowing that Tati was just a text/phone call away was just so nice. Tati is so personable and has such a passion for education. My breastfeeding journey with my son did not come easy and Tati was so quick to offer her help and knowledge. We set up a FaceTime date and she had all these props and demonstrations that helped her have success with her son. It was so incredibly helpful and it didn’t feel like such a formality like it did when I met with a lactation consultant at the hospital, which I so appreciated. She also validated all of my options moving forward. If breastfeeding didn’t work out, she kept reminding me that IT IS OKAY, and just hearing it from someone else took the pressure off. Tati also continued to reach out on her own to check in on us.

She advised me on my baby registry. Luckily she had her son, Charlie, 8 months before my son so she had all the recommendations! Things she liked, things she didn’t, or things she would have done differently. I couldn’t be happier with all of her recommendations to make my life easier as a new mama!

There is such a need for Fourth Trimester Friend. Just having someone available to answer questions when you’re not sure what to do is just so comforting. Tati is so warm and personable and feels like someone you’ve known for years and knowing that she has so much experience as a mom and NICU nurse (soon to be pediatric nurse practitioner) is the perfect combination. I cannot recommend and thank Tati enough!”

“Tati is amazing and I can honestly say I would be lost if it were not for her guidance. She showed me the proper way to breastfeed (sandwich, not hotdog), walked me through the painful world of blebs and provided solutions, laid out a schedule for us to get our son on a proper sleep cycle, and just supported me and my husband throughout our journey as new parents. It can be scary and overwhelming, but she put our hearts and minds at ease and was so patient with the trillion and one questions we had from the noises our son would make to the color and consistency of his stool. I’m just scratching the surface here, but she is very knowledgeable and very personable. For whoever is reading this, look no further; she is truly the best!”

“Prior to my baby boy's arrival, much of my time was focused on perfecting the nursery, building out the registry, and anxiously awaiting the delivery. And although all of those things are so important, you don't know what you don't know... and I didn't know, well, A LOT!

Fourth Trimester Friend walked beside me as I navigated the wonderful and challenging transition to motherhood. In a time that often felt isolating, Fourth Trimester Friend was there. Tati was our fairy godmother, friend, baby expert, nurse, all wrapped into one. Everyone needs a Tati!

Tati has such a gift for making you feel understood and offers practical advice that WORKS! After a short call, I left armed with the knowledge, confidence, and support I needed to help improve my son's sleep (or lack thereof). Tati shared what I could expect and my son responded exactly as she suggested he would. To the last detail- I was amazed! She also helped us through a scary experience with COVID-19 (my son was 2 weeks old), postpartum depression, nursing, pumping, formula supplementation, introduction to solids, pacifiers, milestones, air travel... the list goes on.

Thank you, Fourth Trimester Friend!”
