the nurse practitioner difference.

warm clinical care without fragmentation.

nice to meet you!

Fourth Trimester Friend is different from traditional postpartum support because your care doesn’t end when things get complicated. While many services conclude around six weeks, newborn feeding, sleep, and medical questions often peak after that point. My care is designed to bridge that gap.

As a nurse practitioner with extensive neonatal experience, I’m able to:

  • Support families continuously through the first 12 weeks, not just the immediate postpartum window

  • Clinically assess newborn feeding, growth, sleep, and early health concerns in real time

  • Prescribe and initiate treatment for babies when appropriate, or escalate promptly when needed

  • Stay involved after hospital discharge when most families feel suddenly on their own

  • Offer care that is both medically grounded and deeply human

  • Provide clinically-guided care that may be eligible for Medicare rebates where appropriate

I stay involved after hospital discharge, when many families suddenly feel on their own, offering care that is both medically-grounded and deeply human.

care in the fourth trimester.

clinically grounded, practical support for the questions that actually come up in the first weeks at home.

  • whether you’re breastfeeding, pumping, combination feeding, or formula feeding, I provide calm, evidence-based guidance tailored to your baby and circumstances.

    Support may include:

    • Assessing latch, milk transfer, and feeding efficiency

    • Troubleshooting common challenges (pain, nipple trauma, supply concerns, reflux, bottle refusal)

    • Tracking infant weight gain

    • Helping you make confident feeding decisions without pressure or guilt

Feeding is both physiological and emotional. My role is to help it feel more manageable, informed, and sustainable.

  • newborn sleep is highly variable, and most families receive conflicting advice in the early weeks.

    I support families by:

    • Explaining what’s normal at each stage of newborn development

    • Helping you identify patterns in your baby’s sleep and wake windows

    • Supporting day–night rhythm development and longer stretches of sleep over time

    • Offering gentle, responsive strategies that fit your family without the pressure of rigid schedules

The goal is practical clarity: knowing what’s expected, what can improve, and how to support sleep safely and realistically in the early months.

  • Life with a newborn rarely fits into neat categories. I’m here for the real-world questions that come up between appointments.

    I support families with:

    • Hands-on guidance for bathing, settling, handling, and daily routines

    • Weight checks, observation, and clinical reassurance when something feels “off”

    • Practical setup support (sleep spaces, feeding areas, products that actually work)

    • Talking through concerns as they arise - from normal newborn behaviors to early warning signs

This is the kind of support that helps families feel confident at home, not just informed.

  • I was a first time Mama with no real understanding of what I was getting into. I don’t really know if I can put into words how much Tati helped me, I called her my Guru because she knew all.

    Sarah

  • Just having someone available to answer questions when you’re not sure what to do is just so comforting. Tati is so warm and personable and feels like someone you’ve known for years.

    Leah

  • Tati is amazing and I can honestly say I would be lost if it were not for her guidance.
